I LOVE LinkedIn. It’s incredibly searchable and for the most part people keep their profile information up to date because they’re either looking for the next job or they’re looking for new clients.
Which makes LinkedIn ideal for lead generation. And that’s why we use it as the database for our client’s campaigns.
How this works is we take over their personal LinkedIn account – don’t worry, you still have access to this and you can see everything we’re doing – we can’t use your company profile as you can’t connect to anyone.
And we actively search for contacts that we both feel would be a great fit for your business. On LinkedIn, we can search for industry, size of business, location, job title, how long people have been in their role etc – and really build an accurate list of potential clients for you.
In the first few weeks, we send these lists over to you so you can check through them before we connect with them. But once you’re happy, we connect with these prospects on LinkedIn using a short message designed to get them connecting back.
Most of our clients are averaging about a 15-20% connection rate but whether they connect back or not is irrelevant – the power is that we can use the fact that we reached out on LinkedIn as a way in to speak to the prospect. More on that shortly.
